The members of the Pinole Police Employees Association
have been asked to comment regarding the Pinole City Council recall effort.
Our membership believes in open government. We swore an oath
to defend the U.S. Constitution and the California state constitution. These two
documents guarantee the people the right to elect their representatives in free and fair
elections.
This oath in non-negotiable. Therefore, we will not take a
position to endore or oppose the community's efforts to exercise
free government.
Regardless of the outcome of the eelction, the membership
of the Pinole Police Employees Association is committed to providing law
enforcement services to the residents of Pinole with dedication and
professionalism.
